SUPERA Park Wins 3rd Place in the Anprotec 2024 Award and Strengthens Its Leadership in Innovation

December 2024 – The award highlights the park’s role as one of Brazil’s leading technology development agents; Ribeirão Preto also ranks among the top startup hubs in the state

The SUPERA Innovation and Technology Park in Ribeirão Preto secured third place in the Technology Park category of the National Anprotec Award for Innovative Entrepreneurship 2024. The recognition was announced during a ceremony in São José dos Campos (SP), reinforcing the park’s significance as one of Brazil’s key innovation and technology development hubs. The award, organized by the National Association of Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec), is one of the most prestigious in the sector, recognizing initiatives that drive entrepreneurship, research, and social impact.

SUPERA Park’s achievement is particularly meaningful at a time when Ribeirão Preto stands out in the innovation landscape. According to a Sebrae-SP survey, the city ranks third in São Paulo state in the number of startups, with 153 initiatives, trailing only São Paulo (1,388) and Campinas (174). This scenario strengthens SUPERA’s role as a transformative agent. Since its foundation, the park has served as a growth platform for startups and technology-based companies, offering infrastructure, training, and strategic connections for innovative businesses. “This award sets the stage for a prosperous year for innovation and SUPERA Parque in 2025. It reflects the intensive and collaborative work we do to foster the innovation ecosystem, not only in Ribeirão Preto but throughout Brazil,” says Eduardo Cicconi, Entrepreneurship Manager at SUPERA.

Located in Ribeirão Preto, SUPERA Parque is part of one of the most dynamic innovation ecosystems in the country. It consists of a Business Center, a Technology Center, and a Business Incubator, housing over 80 innovative companies. In recent years, the park has played a central role in developing technological solutions for key sectors such as health, agribusiness, and sustainable energy. Additionally, SUPERA promotes training programs and acceleration initiatives that attract talent and investment to the region.

The Anprotec Award recognition further reinforces the importance of the work being done at SUPERA. Beyond demonstrating the strength of its infrastructure, the achievement highlights the park’s positive impact on startup development and Ribeirão Preto’s growing reputation as an innovation hub.

Connections That Drive Innovation

The award also reflects SUPERA Park’s commitment to fostering connections between startups, universities, investors, and large companies. In 2024, the park expanded its international partnerships, cross-incubation programs, and events that encourage knowledge and technology exchange.

This integrated ecosystem has been crucial for startups looking to expand their business, validate their solutions, and access new opportunities. The combination of infrastructure, technical support, and networking opportunities positions SUPERA as one of Brazil’s leading innovation environments.

Ribeirão Preto: A Growing Innovation Ecosystem

Ribeirão Preto’s third-place ranking among São Paulo state’s top startup cities further highlights the growth of the local innovation ecosystem. The Sebrae-SP report identifies the city as a promising hub, particularly in sectors like health, biotechnology, and information technology. The synergy between SUPERA Parque and the region’s startups has been essential in strengthening this innovation environment. By offering technical support and access to strategic programs, the park directly contributes to the success of businesses making a real market impact.

With its Anprotec Award recognition and ranking among the top startup hubs, SUPERA Parque is set for a promising 2025. In addition to reinforcing its position as one of Brazil’s leading technology parks, its goal is to expand its initiatives to attract more companies, investments, and talent to Ribeirão Preto. “SUPERA Park’s mission is to transform innovative ideas into real-world solutions that positively impact society. We are ready to leverage this recognition as a springboard for new achievements and challenges,” concludes Eduardo Cicconi.
