Startup prize goes to Educacross

Educacross, a startup located in Supera Park in Ribeirão Preto, won the “Lide Futuro Startup 2016” prize in the category for Social Impact Startups



Educacross, a startup located in Supera Park in Ribeirão Preto, won the “Lide Futuro Startup 2016” prize in the category for Social Impact Startups. The event happens every year to select innovative startups and is powered by Lide Futuro since 2013.

The company works developing innovative solutions for educational purposes and has a diverse team with different backgrounds. “With Educacross we provide a complete solution for schools to evaluate learning processes through games, inserting technology in the educational environment and processes”, says Reginaldo Gotardo, executive director of Educacross.

The system offers educational support, based on games that work as a pedagogic instrument. “The platform offers games in mathematics, taking in consideration the guidelines and competences ranked on the National Curricular Parameters and on the main national and state exams”. The platform can be used by the students in the classroom, laboratories or from home.

To Gotardo, the prize is more than the just the title. “It is a unique opportunity that brings us visibility and contact with great investors, mentors and partners. We had the opportunity to show how Educacross has changed the reality of school through neuroscience, the application of new teaching techniques and evaluation”, celebrates.

In 2016 the games on the platform had more than 800 thousand access, reaching more than 10.000 hours of gameplay and learning, with 5,5 million missions solved inside the games.
